Black Girl Fest is pleased to offer four grants to support Black women and non-binary UK-based creatives affected by Covid-19.
Each selected creative will be awarded £250 as a one-time contribution of financial support with no-strings-attached. This grant is aimed at supporting creatives whose work has been affected by the current economic situation.
Criteria to apply:
Grants up to £5,000 are made to organisations and individuals in need throughout the UK.
Charities assisting disadvantaged youth, people with disabilities, people with mental health problems and older people may apply for grants towards furnishings and equipment (excluding office items), building or refurbishment projects.
Funding, up to a maximum of £3,000, is available to registered charities, CICs and voluntary organisations supporting the most disadvantaged people living within the Greater Manchester area. Grants are available to assist with the purchase or supply of amenities, activities or equipment to improve general welfare of the local community or individuals.
In March 2020, the lights were dimmed on Manchester’s Arts and Culture sector, with theatres, libraries, museums and arts centres being amongst the first to close their doors to the public at the start of the pandemic.
The Youth Covid-19 Support Fund is provided by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and administered by PricewaterhouseCoopers. The fund will focus on enabling the struggling, but most impactful, youth organisations in England to continue operating, where they may have scaled back service provision or temporarily closed due to reductions in their income as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Seed funding grants are available for UK based charities and other not-for-profit groups and organisations to trial new and innovative ways to support people in the UK who are suffering with poor mental health. The grants can be used to trial a new service, create an asset, a technology, a performance, fund research, or otherwise experiment in any way that supports mental health.
