About the trainer
Alex has worked in the charity sector for 20 years, mostly focusing on disability and health initiatives. He has also worked in EDI (equality, diversity and inclusion) for five years and is passionate about sharing his knowledge about actions we can all take to make the workplace more inclusive.
Alex is openly gay, neurodivergent and has lived with type 1 diabetes for 30 years. His training credentials include the Expert Patients Programme, Shelter and Pride in Tennis, as well as designing training initiatives for the Royal Mencap Society, the Federation of Disabled People and the Creative Diversity Network.
Alex also has a Masters in Media Psychology and has a particular interest in how the media can be used to further the pursuit of equality for all (and how to push back on negative narratives aimed at curtailing inclusive efforts).
