Universal Design is a process that seeks to benefit a wide range of people with varying characteristics, learning styles, preferences, abilities and accessibility needs.
It is much easier to plan for accessibility needs at the outset, rather than retrofit an inaccessible space, project or service to make it accessible. This also makes the process quicker and usually it is cheaper.
