The Cultural Well-Being Programme (CWP) is offering a series of FREE accredited 3-hour online training sessions focused on Mental Health and Cultural Competence. These sessions are designed to support professionals in Manchester and Trafford to enhance their understanding of cultural sensitivity and working effectively with diverse communities.
Each training session provides essential tools and insights to help professionals bridge cultural gaps in mental health services. The programme outline includes critical updates on the Mental Health Act, including the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF), which supports equitable care for diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. Additionally, participants will explore topics on understanding culture, religion, and identity, as well as actionable strategies to foster cultural competency and break down stereotypes within mental health practices.
