Get an introduction to data collection methods and practical guidance for evaluating your work

Learn how to use surveys, interviews and other tools to find out if your project is making a difference.

Whether you’re preparing funder reports or trying to make sense of programme outcomes, this training course will teach you how to collect data that is relevant to your organisation and cause.

By the end of the training, you’ll:

  • more confidence to choose appropriate data collection methods and tools
  • an improved ability to design and use data collection tools
  • more knowledge of good practice in applying data collection processes

On this course we refer to data collection for outcomes, but the learning applies to all types of evaluation.

This course is for anyone who wants to better understand and articulate the work they do. You’ll be able to apply the learning to evaluating organisations, programmes, projects or campaigns.

The course is aimed at people who are new to designing data collection tools and those who need a refresher.
