NHS Blood and Transplant’s Community Grants Programme

The Community Grants Programme is part of NHS Blood and Transplant’s commitment to build support for blood, organ, and living kidney donation among Black, Asian, mixed heritage, and minority ethnic communities.

The funding is for community, faith and belief organisations to drive awareness, understanding and behaviour change. Trusted local organisations can be effective at achieving these goals due to their specialist knowledge, understanding and footprint in the community.

Transition to eVisa Fund

The Home Office will offer grant funding up to the value of £3,000,000 to provide direct support to vulnerable customers as they transition from physical immigration documents to eVisas. Successful organisations will be required to provide direct support to vulnerable customers when creating their UKVI account and accessing their eVisa. Wolfson Foundation: Funding for Places Grants Programme

Twice a year, the Wolfson Foundation accepts applications from charitable organisations and educational establishments in the UK who are seeking grants for capital initiatives, i.e. buildings (new build or refurbishment) and equipment.

The Foundation funds a broad range of organisations working across the fields of education, science and medicine, health and disability, heritage and arts and humanities.

More than 125 funders in the Open and Trusting Grant-making community have made concrete commitments to improving their practice by listening to charities and communities. However, while a more trusting and respectful funding approach does create a foundation for progress, it is not the same as a more equitable one. Although some Black-led and racial justice organisations can point to welcome changes in the funding environment, it is clear that this work has barely begun.

MCRactive European Capital of Cycling Small Grant Scheme

Manchester has been awarded the title of European Capital of Cycling (ECC) 2024. As part of this award Manchester Active is offering small grants to community groups to engage children and young people between the ages of 6-16 years in cycling, including putting on events and activities.

Manchester Active are offering grants of up to £500, however in exceptional circumstances or for multiple events, they will consider awarding grants of up to £1,000.

Hubbub and Starbuck’s Eat it Up Fund

The Eat it Up Fund was created last year with funding provided by Starbucks (using the money coming from Starbucks 5p cup charge) in partnership with Hubbub Foundation UK, an environmental charity.

Now in its second year, the grant fund is offering six grants of £60,000 each to support innovative ideas to tackle food waste in the UK. The grant must be used within a year.

The fund will support UK registered organisations with an early-stage food waste project with potential for impact at scale.

Big Give's Christmas Challenge

Mental Health Medications survey for people with Learning Disabilities
