Family Action's Manchester Young Carers Forum (MYCF) have recently been involved in a national Family Action campaign about young carers and school, entitled ‘Be Bothered’. As a result of this involvement the Forum have decided to undertake their own research, in the form of a survey, into young carers at school in Manchester aged between 8 and 18.

Clayton Vale Mountain Bike Trails

The new £894,000 Clayton Vale Mountain Bike Trail and skills area/ pump track at the National Cycling Centre, east Manchester, will open in May 2013 (the skills area is open now)

The 10.5km mountain bike trail will have unrestricted free access and allow mountain-bikers to enjoy off road rides on a large formal network within the Clayton Vale Local Nature Reserve.
