Nourish the Nation

Sainsbury’s Nourish the Nation programme, in partnership with Comic Relief, aims to tackle food poverty by helping people access the balanced, nutritional, and sustainable food they need, right now and in the future. The aim of the Fund is to provide school children (up to Year 11) with improved access to summer holiday activity and food schemes.

Nourish the Nation is offering 22 awards of £10,000 in the Greater Manchester area.

Forever Manchester Awards

The Forever Manchester Awards is now open for applications from grassroots community groups in Greater Manchester and is offering awards of up to £1,000.

Forever Manchester believes that connected communities make stronger, happier communities, so we love any activity that brings people together. Forever Manchester Awards support groups to run activities that do just this.

Sport England – Movement Fund

The new £160 million, four-year Movement Fund offers grants of between £300 and £15,000, crowdfunding pledges, and resources to improve physical activity opportunities for the people and communities who need it the most across England.

The new fund replaces Sport England’s existing Small Grants Programme, which is now closed to applications, and Active Together fund, which will close soon.

Tesco Community Pledge

Tesco and easyfundraising have come together for the second time to give a helping hand to voluntary groups, charities, and CICs working tirelessly to keep up with spiraling costs and rising demand. They will donate £1,000 funding pots to 5 community organisations this May.

Wellbeing of Women: Women’s Health Community Fund

Working in partnership with Holland & Barrett, the charity Wellbeing of Women is offering grants of up to £5,000 to small, grassroots organisations and community groups to deliver health information and support to women, girls and people from underrepresented groups in the UK.

The funding is for projects that address the following key points:

SPAR Community Cashback

For a third year in a row, SPAR shoppers can apply for a grant of up to £10,000 for a local voluntary or community organisation or charity they feel deserves funding.

Applicants for grants are open to UK residents (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland mainland only) aged 16 years or over.

All applicants need to do is share the exceptional contribution that a local organisation has made to their local community and what the grant would be used for.

The Skelton Charity

The Skelton Charity is a charitable trust empowered to make grants only to legally constituted charities established in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside, including the unitary authorities of Blackpool, Blackburn, Warrington and Halton.

Although the Trustees enjoy complete discretion when considering applications, they are inclined to favour applications for:

Through the UK Fund the National Lottery Community Fund is looking to fund organisations that want to do more to help communities come together and help make a better-connected society.

Advanced Methods of Evaluation course

Advanced Methods of Evaluation, run by the National Centre for Research Methods, will develop your knowledge of and capabilities to adopt advanced evaluation methods within your own work context. Through a mixture of presentations, discussions, practical tasks, case studies and Q&A, this programme will enable you to develop the skills and confidence needed to apply a range of quantitative and qualitative evaluation approaches.
