VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme

The VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme will help voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSEs) across England to deliver more efficient services for people and communities by saving money on their energy bills.

The VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme is offering Independent Energy Assessments to help identify energy-saving opportunities in your building. The programme also offers Capital Grants to implement measures recommended in your assessment.

Heart of the Community Awards 2024

Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally charity has launched a new round of their Heart of the Community Awards. The awards will be supporting food pantries across the UK, with a total of £50,000 in funding available for Nisa retailers to nominate a local group, charity or good cause. The donations of up to £1,000 per store will help food pantries provide essential food and other supplies to people in need. 50 winning causes will be selected by a panel of judges.

NHS Blood and Transplant’s Community Grants Programme

The Community Grants Programme is part of NHS Blood and Transplant’s commitment to build support for blood, organ, and living kidney donation among Black, Asian, mixed heritage, and minority ethnic communities.

The funding is for community, faith and belief organisations to drive awareness, understanding and behaviour change. Trusted local organisations can be effective at achieving these goals due to their specialist knowledge, understanding and footprint in the community.

Transition to eVisa Fund

The Home Office will offer grant funding up to the value of £3,000,000 to provide direct support to vulnerable customers as they transition from physical immigration documents to eVisas. Successful organisations will be required to provide direct support to vulnerable customers when creating their UKVI account and accessing their eVisa. Organisations will also need to provide support to vulnerable customers who need to share their digital status to prove their rights (e.g.

Wolfson Foundation: Funding for Places Grants Programme

Twice a year, the Wolfson Foundation accepts applications from charitable organisations and educational establishments in the UK who are seeking grants for capital initiatives, i.e. buildings (new build or refurbishment) and equipment.

The Foundation funds a broad range of organisations working across the fields of education, science and medicine, health and disability, heritage and arts and humanities.

The size of the grants varies across the different programme areas.

Powering our Communities Fund

The Powering our Communities Fund is a grant fund for local community based projects with the aim of supporting a just energy transition by enabling communities to take part in the development and delivery of community energy projects.

Electricity North West are inviting applications for projects that support a just transition be enabling communities to take part in the development and delivery of community energy projects.

In particular, projects that can demonstrate how they can contribute to the delivery of one, or more, of the following priorities:

MCRactive European Capital of Cycling Small Grant Scheme

Manchester has been awarded the title of European Capital of Cycling (ECC) 2024. As part of this award Manchester Active is offering small grants to community groups to engage children and young people between the ages of 6-16 years in cycling, including putting on events and activities.

Manchester Active are offering grants of up to £500, however in exceptional circumstances or for multiple events, they will consider awarding grants of up to £1,000.

Hubbub and Starbuck’s Eat it Up Fund

The Eat it Up Fund was created last year with funding provided by Starbucks (using the money coming from Starbucks 5p cup charge) in partnership with Hubbub Foundation UK, an environmental charity.

Now in its second year, the grant fund is offering six grants of £60,000 each to support innovative ideas to tackle food waste in the UK. The grant must be used within a year.

The fund will support UK registered organisations with an early-stage food waste project with potential for impact at scale.

Big Give's Christmas Challenge

Big Give's Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest match funded campaign. For seven days, supporters of participating charities can double their donations and, in doing so, make an extraordinary difference to the world’s biggest challenges.

Synergi Fund Round 2: Democratising Policy
