Greater Manchester is establishing a Community Wealth Hub to support and grow co-operatives, mutuals, social and community enterprises.

It will be important that any Community Wealth Hub should be developed and co-designed with the people and organisations who might benefit from or provide services to the Hub.

Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination no longer required for health and care staff

On 31 January, the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) paused the rollout of mandatory Covid-19 vaccination for health and social care staff.

Following a short consultation on the subject to get feedback, DHSC have now confirmed that health and social care staff will not need a Covid-19 vaccination in order to work with patients.

TRC Sexual Abuse and Rape Support Greater Manchester provide a free, confidential and non-judgemental support service run by women for women and girls who have experienced any form of rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence, whether now or in the past. The service will listen, support and believe you. You are not alone.

Dr Raja Heritage Radio interview with community questions around Covid and the vaccination programme

Dr Murugesan Raja, who is a Manchester GP and Clinical Lead for Respiratory Medicine at Manchester Health and Care Commissioning answered community questions, which were introduced by radiothe presenter of the programme. The questions submitted cover a lot of topics including vaccination questions linked to fertility, 12-15 year olds, the booster and long-term plans around Covid-19. The second stage of the radio package is an interview in Urdu.

Survey on vaccination related activities in GM by VCSE organisations

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an unequal impact on populations in the UK, with Greater Manchester experiencing disproportionally high virus-related morbidity and mortality. Although the Covid-19 surveyvaccination programme has been hugely impactful, uptake of the vaccines has varied across Greater Manchester communities and neighbourhoods.
