To highlight and celebrate Trustees’ Week 2019 (4 -8 November 2019) we are hosting drop in sessions here at the Macc offices on Monday 4 November and Thursday 7 November 2019 12-2pm dedicated to anyone who is currently a trustee or thinking of becoming a trustee in the future.

UP grew out of WHAG, a charity that began life as Women’s Housing Aid Group in 1981.

Together, WHAG and UP think that prevention is better than cure. One in four women and one in six men will be victims of domestic abuse. In every reception class, at least one child will have been living with domestic abuse since they were born.

UP are currently recruiting Directors to support in the delivery an ambitious business plan to take them to 2021.

In April 2019 Bolton CVS launched the Giving Back in Bolton Project which aims to make it easier for people with a criminal record get into volunteering. By completing this survey, you will be helping Bolton CVS to pull together best practice guidance for the voluntary sector of Bolton and beyond. This will help them to improve the recruitment, management and support of volunteers with criminal records, and so help people come back into the community.

Manchester’s newest bus company, Go North West are asking their fabulous employees and customers to come together and donate their precious extra hour in bed to a good cause.

So when the clocks go back on the 27 October it’s your chance to do a little special something in your community.

The Association of Chairs new series of guides - Working with trustees - has been created in response to feedback from Chairs that getting the best out of a disparate group of individuals and managing difficult relationships are some of the biggest challenges they face.

The Booth Centre believe in bringing about positive change in the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, to help them plan for and realise a better future. The Booth Centre are looking for people who can help them deliver their vision for the Booth Centre over the coming years by joining their board of trustees.
