Manchester groups asked to participate in short safeguarding survey for Manchester Safeguarding Children Board

12 May 2014 - 11:26 by michelle.foster

Manchester Safeguarding Children's Board (MSCB) is keen to understand how much people who work with children and young people know about safeguarding in order to understand if there are any areas where further information and training is needed across the City. They are asking groups from the public and voluntary sector to select a small number of staff (3-5) who work with children and young people to undertake a short survey about safeguarding within their organisations.

We would like as many organisations as possible that work with Children and Young People to participate in the audit, so we can demonstrate the strengths of the sectors in helping to keep children and young people safe and help us identify areas where further information and training may be needed for the sector - for instance around knowledge of forced marriage or child sexual exploitation.

If you would like to take part, please provide the contact details (email address) of your sample to Jane Maguire ([email protected]) by close of business on Friday 16 May 2014. The MSCB will undertake the survey by the end of May 2014 and report the findings to the MSCB at the meeting on 10 July 2014.

You will only need to select between 3 -5 people to fill in the questionnaire depending upon the size of your organisation.

The survey questions are included in the attached document.

If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to find out more about the Survey then contact Beth Plant, Policy and Influence Manager, on 0161 834 9823, or email: [email protected]
