The Heritage Lottery Fund is making changes this year in preparation for its new Strategic Funding Framework, due to come in in 2019. The HLF have designated 2018 as a 'transition year', with several changes:
• There will be no new rounds of targeted programmes (i.e. Landscape Partnerships, Parks for People or Townscape Heritage) in 2018
The North, Central and South Safeguarding Children Fora are the connection between the strategic work of the Manchester Safeguarding Children’s Board (MSCB) and front-line practitioners from all agencies. Their main purpose is to ensure that there is a direct link between practice issues at a local level and the overall direction of the Board.
The Manchester Safeguarding Boards (MSB) comprises the Manchester Safeguarding Adults Board (MSAB) and the Manchester Safeguarding Children Boards (MSCB). The Boards share an Independent Chair, Julia Stephens-Row; and are supported by the MSB Business Unit. The bulletin includes news, events, training opportunities and links to information and resources which we hope will be of use to the multi-agency safeguarding workforce and the wider community across Manchester.
Did you know that universities are keen to work with you?
Are you curious about building a new partnership to get some work done together?
Community-university partnerships bring together two sets of expertise and knowledge to make a difference. Partners decide the focus and terms so that the benefits are shared and the relationships are worthwhile.
Highlight your charity’s impact to win an award and prize package
Small charities and community groups around the country carry out vital work but in many cases people are not aware of their impact.
Through the FSI Small Charity Big Impact Awards, small charities and community groups can highlight the work and the impact they make on a local, national and international level.
Pro Bono Economics charity projects help organisations to measure performance, improve their services and better track outcomes. PBE will be focusing its work on areas where improved well-being is a central purpose:
Education – Including early intervention programmes, adult learning and alternative educational methods
Employment – Including programmes aimed at ex-offenders and vocational training for hard-to-reach young people
The Pennine Acute Hospital Trust are hosting their annual grading for NHS England (Equality Delivery System) in March, which looks at the care and services patients/service users receive whilst in one of the hospitals.
During the equality events at North Manchester General Hospital, they want to hear your views on whether patients, service users and carers are being treated in a fair way and what the hospitals might need to do to improve.
