#DoWith North West

#DoWith North West is a half-day event hosted by Voluntary Sector North West and The King’s Fund, designed to gather real thoughts, experiences and ideas on how we move from talking about co-production to truly doing it.

Voluntary Sector North West and The King’s Fund are bringing people together from the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector, public services, researchers, lived experience networks and beyond, to explore: how do we shift to a real ‘Do With’ approach, not just in theory, but in practice?

Many voluntary and community sector organisations have a really good understanding of ‘multiple deprivation’ (i.e. how poverty, poor housing, insecure or low paid jobs and lack of access to services combine and impact on people) but less knowledge about how this links to our environment.

Telling a joined-up story about homes and poverty webinar

The housing crisis isn’t an issue that exists in isolation. People’s experiences of poverty and the lack of decent affordable homes are interlinked, as are the solutions that would improve our housing system and help people thrive.

As communicators, we need to explain these connections, show how solutions can work, and build belief that change is not only necessary, but is actually possible.
