This course will help you to manage conflict and problem solve with your volunteers, and navigate the process of ending volunteering well.

Working with volunteers is a rewarding experience and one that helps a charity deliver its objectives, however occasionally the relationship does not go as planned or a valued volunteer decides to retire leaving a gap in your charity. This course looks at how to build a positive volunteer culture that minimises potential conflicts and ensures the continued support of volunteers to help your charity flourish.

By the end of the training, you will have:

  • identified common sources of conflict in volunteer programmes.
  • recognised the impact of unresolved conflict on team morale and productivity.
  • understood how to apply effective conflict resolution strategies to address disputes constructively.
  • evaluated problem solving processes and how to implement them within volunteer programmes.
  • considered ways to succession plan for your volunteering roles.
  • Be able to implement good practice in ending volunteering well.
