£750 million funding for the charity sectorCharities across the UK will receive a £750 million package of support to ensure they can continue their vital work during the coronavirus outbreak, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced on Wednesday 8 April.

North Manchester Black Health Forum are in need of telephone befrienders who can speak Urdu, Mirpuri or Punjabi to call their service users regularly to listen, comfort and give any information that is current or relevant translated in their language.

We’re also in a time where more than ever we need to support each other, to work together and unleash all the skill, creativity, kindness and compassion we can muster. So hearing the news of the sudden passing of Councillor Sue Murphy is a shock and a sad and cruel loss for those she loved and for all of us who were working with her to respond to these strange and anxious times.
