Postcode Dream Fund 2019 opens for applications

Postcode Dream TrustThree or four large grants are available to give British charities the chance to deliver the project they have always dreamed of, but never had the opportunity to bring to life.
The Dream Fund is providing a total of £3 million this year. Grants of between £500,000 and £1.5 million (an increase of £500,000) are available to deliver a project over a period of 24 months to 36 months.

In launching the consultation NHS England has said: “We know that our health is shaped by the environment in which we live, the choices we make, and the services we receive. We need to take action on each of these”. The consultation on 14 October 2019.

Funding to support work around foetal alcohol spectrum disorder

gov.ukApplications are invited for grants to harness the creativity and capacity of the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for those living with FASD and their families, and to reduce the number of alcohol exposed pregnancies.

£473k is available for bids to commence in financial year 2020/21. The aim is for a smaller number of grants and therefore application via consortia where projects align are encouraged.

Support for Chairs of smaller charities

Beacon programmeThe Association of Chairs have developed a rich library of resources through the Beacon Programme. Chairs and Vice Chairs of charities in England with an income under £1m can join the programme for free and access guides and toolkits online.

Subjects range from preparing for good board meetings to working one-to-one with trustees. The programme also includes workshops running in nine locations and webinars.
