Nieghbourhood of the yearTogether with Neighbourhood Watch the Co-Op are searching for the Neighbour of the Year 2019, to find the UK’s best neighbours.

The Co-Op are looking for people to nominate their neighbours who go above and beyond to help their neighbourhood and surrounding community. This year’s awards categories are:

Tampon Tax Community Fund

The purpose of the Tampon Tax Fund is to allocate the funds generated from the VAT on sanitary products to projects that improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls. 

The Tampon Tax Community Fund aims to support women who are most marginalised to overcome barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their potential. The programme will benefit women and girls, investing in a wide variety of projects that make a tangible and long-term difference to health, well-being, confidence and social/economic activity, as well as addressing equality gaps.

Support for organisations to make informed decisions about energy efficient initiatives

GMCVOGMCVO are inviting expressions of interest to join a project in Greater Manchester that will support your organisation to be more energy efficient and reduce energy costs.

GMCVO are working with a collaboration of organisations from the public, private and voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sectors on the ‘GM SME Zero Carbon Accelerator’ project, funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
