This means that the fund will not fund trips where the primary purpose is education. You must make a clear case for the financial need of the individuals attending as well as the organisation applying.
The Charity Commission has published the results of the consultation on proposed changes to the annual return and changes to the information displayed on the register of charities. Along with an analysis, the regulator has also announced the key changes charities should expect for 2014.
Applications are invited from Manchester based Charities, Organisations and Others to the ‘We Love MCR Charity’ The Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust.
Aims of the Charity
The Charity was set up as a Trust to distribute funds “for Charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the City of Manchester as the Trustees shall think fit”.
The Charity’s primary aim is to improve the lives and life chances of Manchester People.
Now its 5th year Manchester Day 2014 will be even bigger, better and more spectacular! A new 3 year tender has been issued by Salford Local Authority on behalf of all the Greater Manchester Authorities for support into employment for people who have gone through the work programme and have not got a job. Bidders can apply to deliver support just for Manchester or for multiple authorities. There is a meeting for potential applicants in Manchester on Thursday 5th December from 2-4pm at Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount St, M2 5NS.

The Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF) are looking to conduct interviews with LGB people who use or have used drugs and/or alcohol and have accessed help, advice or support for a substance use issue. This could include help, advice or support from substance use services, as well as the internet, friends and family, a GP, a telephone helpline, self-help books etc.
