lloyds bank foundationAt 10am on 3 August Lloyds Bank Foundation are launching £7.4 million COVID funding aimed at supporting charities to recover beyond the immediate crisis.

The COVID Recovery Fund will offer around 140 charities a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000 alongside a Development Partner to help charities navigate a tumultuous future.

ICSA releases new guide for trustees about reopening safely

Trustees will need to strike a balance between carrying out their charity’s purpose and safeguarding people as they reopen, the Chartered Governance Institute (ICSA) has said. ICSA has issued the advice as part of new guidance for charity trustees on how to reopen safely. The guidance outlines a series of practical steps and questions trustees will need to address while planning for the resume of their charity’s activities as lockdown is eased.

New digital skills training programmes open for candidate applications

The free training programmes, which have been funded as part of the Fast Track Digital Workforce Fund to create inclusive opportunities into digital employment, are now open for candidate applications.

Grants to support BAME-led organisations affected by Covid-19

BAME grantsGM BAME Network, supported by GMCVO, have launched an emergency grants programme to support small (income under £10,000) GM BAME led VCSE organisations and communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Between July and December 2020 GM BAME Network will be giving out a total of £225,000 in grants.

The grants are funded by Comic Relief and the National Emergency Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edge Fund Rapid Response Fund

edge fundThis fund is open to all groups that are working towards systemic change, and whose work is in line with Edge Fund's values. Edge Fund understand that currently, many groups have put their campaigning/systemic change work on hold in order to deal with the effects of the pandemic – this is okay and will not disqualify you for funding.

Each successful group will receive £750.

Arts Council – Culture Recovery Fund: Grants
