Swim England are currently undertaking one of their most important pieces of work which looks to provide more opportunities for diverse ethnic groups to access swimming and also for communities swimming poolsto change their perception that swimming is not for them.

To help them inform their future strategy, they have released a short survey.

Quitting or cutting down on smoking can help free up funds in the short term and can improve health and wellbeing in long term. GM Poverty Monitor 2022

The Greater Manchester Poverty Action have launched the Greater Manchester Poverty Monitor 2022. The Poverty Monitor reveals the scale of poverty across Greater Manchester and covers ten digital heritage hubthemes: Child poverty, debt, deprivation, educational attainment, fuel and food insecurity, health, homelessness, housing, social security and the labour market.

Peer Support Worker Training – funded places available

Peer Support Workers (PSWs) within mental health provide support, companionship and encouragement to people experiencing mental health difficulties, drawing upon their own lived trainingexperiences, or from caring for others experiencing mental health difficulties.

Core20PLUS5 VCSE Survey

Core20PLUS5 is a national initiative aimed at addressing health inequalities. The Caribbean & African Health Network survey(CAHN) is running a Core20PLUS5 project in Greater Manchester working with the Caribbean and African community to gather lived experiences that would feed into codesigning and coproducing pathways across core health conditions.
