Creative Support provides health and social care for people with support needs across England. Creative Support

A lot of the service users are, in some way, socially isolated, so to help the service users have more social engagement Creative Support have created a befriending referral scheme where service users can refer themselves for a Volunteer Befriender.

Mentoring opportunities at One Million Mentors

One Million Mentors (1MM) has new mentoring opportunities. All mentoring will begin from September. One Million Mentors

The options are (more youth partners joining every week):

Xaverian College (A Level Law students), Rusholme
• Mentor for 1 hour per half term until Jan 2019
• Assist mentees to make decisions about furthering their studies and offer, where available, work place visits

Call for volunteers - NHS70 and Windrush70 event - Saturday 23 June

The Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) are looking to recruit volunteers to provide support and assistance at the Greater Manchester NHS70 and Windrush70 Health Walk and Festival celebration event this Saturday (23 June) at Alexandra Park, Russell St, Manchester M16 7JL.

The Theme of the day is ‘Celebrating the Contribution of Migration to the NHS’ and will recognise the invaluable and irreplaceable contribution that the Windrush generation – and all BME communities – have made to the NHS since it was formed in 1948.
