This session is available only to trustees of charities who have a majority of their beneficiaries located in the city of Manchester.
 

This online webinar is a great opportunity for trustees and VCSE non-profit finance leads to think the unthinkable and take preventative action.

Overview:

Would you like to explore what working with businesses could look like for your organisation?

This is an introductory session is aimed at voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) groups who support people and causes in Manchester and are interested in developing meaningful relationships with local businesses.

You will:

• Are you involved in / interested in reducing inactivity and enabling active lives?
• Do you find the systems you work in and the lives of the people you work with are increasingly complex?
• Are you looking for solutions and ideas?

If you answer yes to these questions (or are simply curious) - Grab a brew and join us for online sessions (1.5 hours) every other month.

We are offering an informal, but guided space, to reflect, get curious, learn together and problem solve across traditional boundaries of sector, organisation and locality.

In June 2024 Anushka Swannell, a Volunteer Development Worker at Macc, did a piece of research on ‘The Current Climate of Student Volunteering in Greater Manchester.’ We invite you to the launch event for this research, where she will outline her findings and key policy recommendations. There will also be opportunities for you to discuss your experience as a student volunteer, or involving student volunteers, and how we can improve this in future.
