Even if your organisation doesn't have an official policy or subscription to an AI service, employees, volunteers and service users are using it: sometimes for good, sometimes for bad. That’s why it's more important than ever that every VSCE organisation has a robust ethical position on AI, not just a tick box policy.
In this engaging session, pro-social technologist Matt Haworth (Reason Digital) takes us through some of the implications AI has for our sector, learnings from other similar and tricky ethical conundrums, shows some amusing and sometimes terrifying examples of how AI can go wrong, and helps us come to our own position on AI and how to govern it within our organisations in a way that’s in line with our values and our resources.
Plain English explanations will be provided for AI concepts so you don’t need to be an AI expert to get the most out of this session at all, just someone interested in helping your organisation do the right thing and the nuances that can sometimes involve!
This session is available to people working for VCSE organisations who are based within Greater Manchester.
