The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and the NHS have published the first formal draft of the Greater Manchester Cancer Education Strategic Plan, commissioned as part of the recently published GM Cancer Plan. A consultation has been opened for groups and individuals to give comments.
Good progress is being made to create a New Manchester-wide hospital trust according to the March 2017 Single Hospital Service Programme Bulletin. 
Information for the bulletin is compiled from a number of sources including Grantfinder, GMCVO (Greater Manchester Council for Voluntary Organisations) and direct from funders themselves. It showcases just a few of the hundreds of funding opportunities available for local community, voluntary and faith organisations.
This bulletin is produced by a partnership of local support and development agencies across Greater Manchester.
It's 29th March 2017. So in an attempt to be positive about what the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector can do as Brexit officially starts, here's a short video blog we made.

Macc wants to see Manchester as a city where every person can be free from discrimination and oppression, can enjoy health, wellbeing and economic security and can have the opportunity to achieve their aspirations and fully participate in their community. The Data Saves lives project was commissioned by the Health Foundation and lead by the the Health eResearch Centre at the University of Manchester. Macc worked with the University of Manchester, Age UK and Inspiring Communities to run a Community Reporter aspect to the project. The projects aim was to understand how people use technology to support their health and wellbeing.
The Edge Fund is now open for their first funding round of the year. The Edge Fund is giving £40,000 to about 30 grass-roots groups, campaigning against the systems that cause injustice. 
The Edge Fund supports work run by and for communities facing discrimination and injustice and funds work carried out by individuals and grass-roots groups in Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England that find it difficult to get funding elsewhere.
