Manchester BME Network Learning Circles

Following on from last year’s success, the Manchester BME Network is delighted to invite you to participate in their exciting new Learning Circles.

Learning Circles are all about peer learning; sharing experiences and finding solutions to your problems.

These sessions are free (funded by Awards for All) but places are limited.

Equalities Fund

This inequality could be based on age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership issues, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief (or lack of religion or belief) and sexual orientation. Applicants will be asked to provide evidence a particular need exists, demonstrate what you propose to do to tackle inequality and demonstrate what impact your project will have. Your project could look at one or more areas of inequality it does not need to address all of them.

Community Association Fund

To provide funding to community associations and centres. Eligible activities: • Provision of community centre premises. Premises must be openly available to all local community and interest groups. The Community Association should have a policy that gives local community groups and activities a priority in using the centre. • Delivery of services or activities directly to residents, where the service or activity would not be eligible for funding from any City Council service departments. • Development, support or co-ordination of other local groups. • Local community regeneration, where the association is actively involved in local regeneration and thematic partnership work for, and on behalf of, their local community and are valid representatives of local interests.
