Starting a Group Made Simple: Get Ready for Funding
Want to make a difference in your community? The In Our Nature programme has partnered with Manchester Community Central to support people in Manchester who are looking at setting up a community group, or to build their grassroots initiative.
This workshop introduces the fundamentals of setting up a small community group and preparing to apply for funding. You’ll explore how to define your group’s purpose and activities, create a basic constitution, and lay the groundwork for funding applications.
This session will look at the legislation, and what trustees need to know and do. It will also look at how best to apply it in a community building setting where you may be hiring space but have little direct interaction with the vulnerable people attending the activities
