North Manchester First 1000 Days of a Child's Life Fund

Our ManchesterThe Our Manchester Programme Management Team are pleased to announce that First 1000 Days of a Child's Life Fund specifically for North Manchester will be opening for applications on Monday 19 October 2020 for a 4 week period with a closing date of 10am on Monday 16 November.

One Manchester Community Soups can help to fund your project with up to £4,000 in funding available.

This year the Community Soups will be a little different. One Manchester will be holding them virtually so that everybody can take part safely.

Weston Culture Fund

The Weston Culture Fund is open to performing and visual arts organisations, arts centres, accredited museums and galleries (excluding those who are local authority maintained) with a minimum annual income of £500,000 in a typical year. Grants will range from a minimum of £100,000 up to a maximum of £2 million based on the size of the organisation.

African Health Policy Network – BAME Healthy Communities Surviving Covid-19 Fund

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for BAME-led community and voluntary groups to help them support their communities during and beyond the COVID-19 crisis. The Fund will support a range of wellbeing, resilience and capacity building projects. Organisations that are not constituted, do not have a bank account, or are a new organisation can still apply for funding via a host organisation.

Music Education Hub Development Fund

youth music networkThe Youth Music Network has launched Round 2 of the Music Education Hub Development fund. Grants of up to £50,000 are available to partnerships of at least three Music Education Hub lead organisations such as local authorities, schools, other hubs, art organisations, community or voluntary organisations.

Old Frame New Picture Photography Competition

We are delighted to invite you to submit your photographs to our competition, celebrating and promoting positive and realistic images of older people in Greater Manchester.

Old Frame New Picture is a competition designed to challenge the negative and stereotyped ways older people are represented as vulnerable or frail, something that has become even more prevalent during the coronavirus pandemic.

Manchester City of Literature – Trustee opportunity

Manchester was designated a UNESCO City of Literature in 2017, following a successful bid from a partnership led by Manchester City Council, The University of Manchester, Manchester Metropolitan University and involving a range of partners, publishers, festivals, writing agencies, libraries and cultural organisations.

The Strategic Legal Fund for Vulnerable Young Migrants

Not for profit organisations and private law firms working with vulnerable young migrants can apply for grants of up to £30,000. Grants will enable the organisation to undertake strategic legal work to benefit young migrants (under the age of 25) living in poverty who face significant disadvantage or discrimination in connection with their (or their parents') migration status. Average grant size is around £12,000.
