COVID-19 Homelessness Response Fund launches second round of funding

homeless linkHomelessness organisations affected directly by COVID-19 can now apply for funding of £5.5million in a second round of grants distributed by Homeless Link.

Of this funding pot, £4.82 million is provided by The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK, for homelessness charities in England.

barrow cadbury trustBarrow Cadbury Trust is partnering with the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) to distribute COVID-19 emergency response funding to the migration charity sector in England. There is £5 million to distribute for work that will relieve hardship caused by the pandemic among refugees and asylum-seekers and by migrants experiencing barriers to accessing services.

collective voiceVoluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations have been at the forefront of supporting people during the COVID-19 crisis. The Addiction and Recovery Response Fund has £322,035 available and will support additional or adapted drug and/or alcohol support necessitated by the crisis – for service users or family members already supported, or for those not yet accessing drug/alcohol treatment.

Report: GM Big Disability Survey Covid-19 report

The Greater Manchester Disabled People’s Panel (GMDPP) created a survey to find out how disabled people in Greater Manchester were managing during the Covid 19 pandemic. The Panel is unique, no other city region has managed to establish one, it is made up of 14 disabled people’s organisations. The Panel already knew a lot of the issues, but to help them to influence improvement of how services were responding they needed a wide evidence base the survey could provide. 936 people responded, making it one of the largest surveys by and for disabled people of the Pandemic.
