Social distancing and Ramadan

Ramadan Mubarak to those who are celebrating this month. This upcoming month is going to be difficult especially with the Covid-19 measures that are in place.

Manchester Local Care Organisation have worked with a Manchester Imaam, Maulana Mohammed Akeel to read out Covid-19 social distancing and health advice in Ramadan guidance in Urdu and English and the videos can be found here:

Ecclesiastical Movement for Good awards 2020

Movement for goodEcclesiastical have launched their £1m Movement for Good awards. £1,000 awards are open to eligible charities registered in the UK and Republic of Ireland – these could range from smaller volunteer-run groups to larger, well-known organisations. Anyone can nominate a charity to win one of the £1,000 awards.

Caribbean and African Health Network Bereavement Service

CAHNThe Caribbean and African Health Network (CAHN) Bereavement Service offers the Caribbean and African community living in Greater Manchester (GM) a culturally and religiously tailored support for those grieving or mourning the loss of loved ones. This would be at no costs to GM residents but at a fee to people living outside greater Manchester. CAHN will be taking referrals from their statutory partners and VCSE organisations.
