Comic Relief – Active ageing: creating change in communities grants

Comic Relief have launched a £1.5 million fund to engage older people aged 65 and over from ‘harder to reach’ groups to get involved in opportunities which use their skills, knowledge and experience to contribute to their communities. Comic Relief are looking for proposals which put older people at the centre of the work, designing and developing activities or opportunities which meet their needs, interests and priorities. As momentum gathers around integrated health and social care and children’s health and wellbeing, there are various calls for evidence around the voice of children and young people.

42nd Street with Youth Focus NW and Young Minds are aware of an awful lot of great work that has taken place over recent years to capture this voice and they are trying to gather this into one place and make some central sense of it to inform, amongst other things the GM commissioning framework for CAMHS and a broader charter around children and young people’s health and social care.

2017 Clinks State of the Sector survey report

Clinks is a national charity that supports, represents and campaigns for the voluntary sector working with offenders. They have published their 2017 State of the Sector report following a survey of voluntary sector organisations to collect information about how healthy the sector is, the role it is playing, and the wellbeing of service users.Clinks found that "During a year of political instability, voluntary organisations continue to support the most vulnerable people despite a shifting funding landscape and increasing and changing service user needs.

Grant to address Female Genital Mutilation in the Community
