the protection of people and property from criminal activity, and the advancement of education regarding alcohol, drugs, and other solvent abuse.
Warburtons has announced the next set of deadlines for its Community Grants programme. The scheme offers small grants of up to £400 to not-for-profit organisations with charitable purposes that are operating in England, Scotland and Wales.
Employees of Warburtons are also able to apply on behalf of organisations if they are actively involved with them (e.g., they are a volunteer, trustee or active supporter).
In 2019, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership asked people across Greater Manchester to tell them about the role and impacts of alcohol in their communities. More than 80 
local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations, more than 5,000 people, joined in the Big Alcohol Conversation. From this, findings and recommendations were produced.
A new public consultation has been launched, inviting Greater Manchester residents, community groups, and local businesses to have their say on exciting new plans to make more outdoor spaces smokefree in Greater Manchester. This will include suggestions on the places they’d most like to see become smokefree and is a great opportunity for the public to play an active part in shaping the initiative.
Greater Manchester Poverty Action (GMPA) exists because of the support of likeminded individuals and organisations across Greater Manchester, and beyond, who share their desire to see an end 
to poverty in our city region.
Community Camp is an immersive learning experience, offering a mix of practical activities, workshop sessions and networking opportunities for people from across the UK. The Community Camps 
take place either face-to-face at the Eden Project in Cornwall or online and dates for 2022 and 2023 have been announced.

financial challenges facing low income households. GMPA have provided policy and research updates and there is also an interesting job opportunity.
Greater Manchester Social Value Network (GMSVN) has been offered the chance to use the tools and resources from the national Inspiring Impact programme to help organisations in Greater 
Manchester.
The Our Manchester VCS Grants Programme is Manchester City Council’s largest grants programme for the voluntary and community sector. Following engagement and a co-design process, the 
new Programme for 2023-26 opened on 1 September 2022 and closes on 10 October 2022, 5pm.
