Fourteen Awards for organisations in Harpurhey and Moston

Fourteen is a programme funded by Spirit of 2012, a charity set up by the Big Lottery Fund to connect events to communities across the country; tackling disadvantage by supporting opportunities in sport, physical activity, culture and the arts, volunteering and social action.

Forever Manchester is managing the Fourteen programme in Manchester, where it will support the communities of Harpurhey and Moston.

Applications open for Youth Social Action Fund

Organisations working with young people can apply for funding through the Youth Social Action Fund.

Organisations working with young people in lower socioeconomic areas in England can apply for funding through the new Youth Social Action Fund.

The Fund received £1 million from the Cabinet Office, as part of the government’s pledge to support Step Up To Serve’s #iwill campaign. The #iwill campaign aims to increase participation in youth social action (volunteering, fundraising and campaigning) by 50% by 2020.

Grants available for Inter Faith Week 2015

Inter Faith Youth Trust will be awarding small grants up to £500 for organisations running events or projects connected with Inter Faith Week 2015. This small grants programme is for events organised by and for young people focused around Inter Faith Week 15-21 November 2015.

Grants are awarded for proposals for inter-faith activities by children and young people from Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and other faiths and those of no formal faith in understanding and co-operation. The age range for young people is 11-25 years.

Arts Council England Small Capital Grants Fund Now Open for Applications for 2016/17

The Small Capital Grants scheme is designed to benefit arts initiatives taking place in England, helping to make these projects more sustainable and resilient.

The scheme forms part of a range of measures Arts Council England has in place to help create a more sustainable, resilient and innovative arts sector - one of the five goals set out in Achieving great art for everyone, a 10-year strategic framework for the arts.

New Housing Project for Military Veterans in Manchester

Do you know of a military veteran who would benefit from a home to buy or rent at below market rates in Manchester?

Manchester City Council are working with veterans charity, Walking with the Wounded, Haig Housing and the BBC's DIY SOS TV programme, on an epic project to renovate an entire street in Manchester - complete with specially adapted homes and a support centre on the street. This is a UK-first by creating a veterans community in Manchester.

This is an opportunity for veterans in need of support or wanting to live in newly renovated homes in Manchester.

Round 5 of Rosa’s FGM Small Grants Programme is now open

Rosa is a charitable fund set up to support initiatives that benefit women and girls in the UK. Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust - dragons den funding

The Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMW) dragons have identified another £150k non-recurrent funding for 2015/16 to support innovative proposals and ideas that will contribute to them achieving their Trust Quality Account priorities.

What do I need to do?
Just produce a short brief (no longer than a side of A4) outlining who you are, what you propose to do, which Quality Account priorities your bid covers and how much funding you need. No bid is too small but your bid should not exceed £10k.

If you’re a voluntary or community group, specifically one that is pro-active in this field, you can apply for funding to tackle and prevent homelessness.

As part of its continued commitment to preventing homelessness, Manchester City Council is aiming to provide investment in 2015/16 through the Directorate for Children and Families Homelessness Prevention Grants programme.
