The Charity Governance Awards is an exciting new not-for-profit initiative created to celebrate outstanding governance in charities both small and large.

Kusuma Trust UK Launches Small Grants Programme for England

The Kusuma Trust UK, an independent grantmaking organisation, aims to facilitate and increase access to education and other life opportunities for children and young people, with a focus on the most disadvantaged. The Trust enables children and young people to realise their potential and break the inter-generational cycle of poverty. The Trust has developed a strategy which includes working in England to improve education outcomes for young people.

Registered charities in England can apply for grants of up to £10,000.

Rosa Launches Voices from the Frontline Grants Scheme

Rosa, the UK Fund for Women and Girls has launched a new grants programme called Voices from the Frontline which is an innovative new programme aimed at shining a light on women at the front of the fight for gender equality. Supporting charitable advocacy work, Voices from the Frontline will increase the skills, capacity and credibility of women who wish to challenge gender inequality and promote awareness and change, moving us closer to social justice and equality for women in the UK.

Fourteen - Forever Manchester Awards

Fourteen is a programme funded by Spirit of 2012, a charity set up by the Big Lottery Fund to connect events to communities across the country; tackling disadvantage by supporting opportunities in sport, physical activity, culture and the arts, volunteering and social action.

Forever Manchester is managing the Fourteen programme in Manchester, where it will support the communities of Harpurhey and Moston. As part of this work they are delivering a range of activity, which includes FM awards.

Grow Wild community project funding

Grow Wild is awarding funding of £1,000 to £4,000 to community groups that want to bring people together to transform a communal space by sowing and growing UK native plants.

Grow Wild are looking to fund at least 60 groups in 2016 across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. There’s a lot of support available from the team during the three month application window in autumn 2015.
