You will focus on supporting the recruitment of care and welfare volunteers (Welfare Visitors and Telephone Befrienders) who play a huge part in supporting members across Oddfellows Branches.

Established in 1810, the Oddfellows is one of the largest and oldest friendly societies in the UK, with over 360,000 members across 97 branches nationwide. Oddfellows a non-profit mutual run by members for members and the Oddfellows do their best to improve the quality of people’s lives through friendship, care and charitable support.

The Project Manager will work within the Retrofit Team portfolio, developing and delivering innovative new projects that take a community and citizen-led approach to the clean energy transition and tackling climate change.

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team with an array of dedicated and skilled colleagues, subject matter experts and other project managers. You don’t need previous experience within the low carbon, construction or retrofit sectors, just to demonstrate a commitment to the core values and previous work in a Project Management role.

The Citizen and Community Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in creating positive relationships between Carbon Co-op, communities and stakeholders. Working with the Engagement Lead and a multidisciplinary team, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies to involve members, residents, businesses and other stakeholders in our energy transition projects and initiatives. This role requires experience and ability in engagement, communications and project/event delivery.

Rainbow Haven are a community service for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants needing support. Rainbow Haven have two drop-in days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, where they welcome people to their centre and offer advice and information, hot lunches, and activities, and they have some activities on Wednesdays.  

Empower Youth Zones is the charity that oversees the creation, management and sustainability of Youth Zones in Manchester and Salford. These include HideOut Youth Zone located in Gorton, East Manchester which opened in 2020 and Salford Youth Zone located in Pendleton, Salford which is due to open to young people in Spring 2025. HideOut and Salford Youth Zones provide children and young people aged 8-19 and up to 25 for those with additional needs with somewhere safe to go, something position to do, and someone trusted to talk to.

This role will help build the FareShare Greater Manchester brand via effective internal and external communication designed to engage more followers to broaden and deepen the positive impact.

Working collaboratively, you'll design content and produce marketing materials, press releases, and newsletters, plan and write social media posts with fresh and creative content, and help update our website. You'll have excellent interpersonal skills, be self-motivated and highly organised, and be able to work independently.
