Third Sector Lab: Compassion by Design – Bringing trauma-informed thinking to your content

Charities, by their nature, are there to help people who are navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives. Which means charity content needs to speak to an audience that’s upset, stressed, anxious, and sometimes in emotional turmoil.  Trauma-informed content specialist Jo Levy believes this is about much more than using kind words. Her approach centres trauma-informed thinking and building it into everything you create from the start.  

This workshop introduces trauma-informed thinking as a practical approach –  a set of principles that help you create resources, web pages, and communications that meet people where they are. Drawing on real-world professional experience, Jo will share the challenges, decisions, and techniques behind building content that works when it matters most.

Through a mix of real examples, short practical exercises, and group discussion, you’ll leave with concrete ideas you can apply to your own content straight away.
