Laying the ground for a disability-inclusive workforce
Foundations for Change are excited to be working towards a framework for disability inclusive workplace standards for healthcare organisations and local authorities in Greater Manchester.
To support this, Foundations for Change are collecting lived experiences through surveys and focus groups for both staff and management.
National Survivor User Network – Sustaining Spaces Fund
National Survivor User Network (NSUN) are awarding grants of £500-£1,000 to those facilitating community spaces where people with shared identities and experiences come together in support of one another’s wellbeing. This may be in the form of peer support, mutual aid or self-help groups, but is not limited to groups defining themselves in this way.
KFC Foundation Community Grants Programme
Funding is available for charities and grassroots community groups and associations to support young people aged 11-25 years in communities where KFC restaurants are located.

Social prescribing focus group recruitment
The University of Manchester are looking for voluntary sector community organisations in Greater Manchester that support older adults and/or mental health to provide input into planning a research project. The project will be broadly about the implications of your organisation’s involvement in social prescribing by health and social care organisations. For example, its impact on capacity or how you work.
AFRUCA County Lines Child Trafficking Family Support Service
AFRUCA is a national charity promoting the well-being and protection of children and families in Black and ethnic communities in the UK. The County Lines Child Trafficking Family Support service has been established in response to the growing problem of child criminal exploitation across Manchester.
Lived Experience for Living Well expression of interest
Providing a co-ordinating and supporting role to ensure that lived experience is fully embedded within living well (a process of improving community mental health support).
Living Well Manchester is looking to commission an organisation to support the development of mental health lived experience in the development of their Living Well Model/Community Mental Health Transformation.
Understanding the motivations and support need of volunteers who help people with getting online
The purpose of this survey is to help to understand the motivations of those who volunteer to help people to get online, to explore what you enjoy and the challenges you face.
It is being conducted by Open Data Manchester on behalf of Manchester City Council. The results of this survey will help the council to better support their volunteers.
Cost-of-living Grants Fund
In response to the cost-of-living crisis Independent Age are looking to provide 25 grants of £40,000 (£1million total) to charities and community organisations to get more money into the pockets of older people and help ensure they do not have to choose between buying food to eat and heating their home this winter. Projects must be in addition to or an extension of existing work – the grants cannot fund business-as-usual projects.
This fund will support projects like:
