The GM VCSE Mental Health Leadership Group is currently recruiting seven new group members – 5 locality leads for Bolton, Manchester, Rochdale, Tameside and Glossop and Trafford, and 2 systems leads, one for Equalities and one for Systems Change.
A brand new innovative and inclusive project for Adults in Greater Manchester; who may be finding it difficult to return to the great outdoors and would like to explore the natural environment helping to improve wellbeing, and communication skills whilst making new friends. Whether they have learning, mobility or physical disabilities, mental health needs or would just like to meet new friends…everyone is welcome!
The Family Mile programme aims to support and connect communities, empowering them to help one another and to be more active, together, through doing ‘their mile, their way’. Regardless of fitness level, health status, ability, or age, The Mason Foundation provide the starting point, that gentle nudge into fun, easy to do, regular activity.

Criteria: Open to individuals who have shown inspiring leadership over the past year. We are particularly looking for leaders who don’t necessarily hold senior/management positions within organisations. Do you know someone that has shown strong, inspiring leadership skills whilst continuing to support and motivate others during the last year?

I think the most critical thing for impactful mental health and wellbeing support for young people (and by that I mean 11-25 year olds) is choice. A lot of services for young people are still very clinical and are threshold and diagnosis driven, particularly as young people transition into adulthood. Also, and understandably with the limitations on resources and continued uncertainty, many are still dictated by efficiency rather than preparedness and resilience. All of which limits choice.

The F3 ‘Not for Profit Programme’ at Manchester City Football Club are looking to work with local not for profit organisations and their volunteers to deliver stadium catering to the thousands of fans at matches and events in a dedicated ‘Not for Profit’ charity kiosk.

The Greater Manchester Peer Support Innovation Grant is designed to support new or smaller peer support groups with innovative ways of introducing peer support to the community. Applicants can apply for a grant of up to £250 towards their project or event (from a total available funding pot of £2500).

Designed to give eligible charities the financial assistance they need to help them make a real difference, Ecclesiastical are awarding a £10,000 grant to 30 charities. Ecclesiastical will then choose two of these winners to receive an additional £50,000 grant and one winner to receive a massive £100,000 additional grant.
