Victoria and I attended an Ambition for Ageing seminar yesterday by Kate Jopling where she presented the findings from a recent publication ‘Age-friendly and inclusive volunteering: Review of community contributions in later life' by the Centre for Aging Better in partnership with the Department for Digital, Media, Culture and Sport (DCMS).

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Chair of Trustees to lead the Smart Works Greater Manchester centre. Smart Works

Smart Works Greater Manchester opened in June 2015, the first Smart Works centre in England outside of London. Since then they have supported over 1200 women in need and over 67% have gone on to succeed at their job interviews, despite more than half having been unemployed for more than a year and 20% for over 5 years.
