The Auto Trader Community Fund aims to encourage small, community-based and locally controlled groups that manage themselves, encourage people to get involved as volunteers and who just need a bit of financial help to be able to work with their community in the way they’d like. 
The Community Business Fund, which has previously given away £22 million, is set to reopen on Wednesday 24 April offering grants between £50,000 and £300,000 for community businesses to become more sustainable.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Chair of Trustees to lead the Smart Works Greater Manchester centre. 
Smart Works Greater Manchester opened in June 2015, the first Smart Works centre in England outside of London. Since then they have supported over 1200 women in need and over 67% have gone on to succeed at their job interviews, despite more than half having been unemployed for more than a year and 20% for over 5 years.
The Greater Manchester Law Centre launched their manifesto at a public event on 11 April 2019. The event was packed. 150 people were in attendance: students, advisers, lawyers and community groups, old and new friends.
Manchester City Council recognises the important role Work Clubs play in providing flexible and informal employment support to workless Manchester residents. In recognition of the valuable role they play in delivering employment support services, Manchester City Council has made available grant funding for Manchester Work Clubs to apply for. 
The Open To All campaign encourages all charities to look at their job descriptions, person specifications and recruitment adverts and check whether they really need to require a ‘degree or equivalent’ for some of their roles.
