Manchester LINk Logo Competition

The Manchester LINk is currently running a competition to design a new logo for the LINk. The winning entry will receive £50 in vouchers, with second place receiving £25 and third place receiving £10.

Your design should be bold and distinctive, as well as saying something about what the LINk is and what we do. Your design can be done on paper or on computer.

To help reduce crime and communicate with residents the Crime and Disorder Team at Manchester City Council have re-launched their CDRP website, www.makingmanchestersafer.com.

On this website residents can find out:

Sport Relief Community Cash

Sport Relief is distributing a £62,000 Community Cash fund raised through the charity to communities across Greater Manchester.

Community Cash grants of £500 to £1,000 are available to small organisations in Greater Manchester who are working to help local people living tough lives.

The groups that are eligible to apply for Community Cash are those that are working in a disadvantaged or deprived area within the local authority or to other Government boundary of Greater Manchester and small groups with an income of less than £50,000 (in the last year) run by local people.

Comic Relief Sport for Change

Comic Relief have developed this new programme to support a range of innovative projects that are using sport as a tool for making a real difference in the communities in which they are based.

The aim of this programme is to understand more about how sport can play a part in delivering positive change within the lives of individuals and communities, and to meet one or more of the outcomes listed below.
