Grow Wild funding – Create your own Grow Wild Community Site

19 Dec 2013 - 16:05 by michelle.foster

A Grow Wild community site is a place where local people use UK native plants to create a space for everyone to enjoy.

Grow Wild are awarding £500 to £5,000 for each Grow Wild community site.

At the moment, your Grow Wild site might be an unloved, neglected and rundown area that you’d like to reclaim for the local community. You just need to tell Grow Wild how you want to turn it into an inspiring space for everyone.

With the funding, people from all over the UK will create stunning sites that everyone will love and use.

Top Tips in Negotiation

  1. Before going in decide on your negotiating position. Preparation is key. Ask for as much information as possible before going into the negotiation about what is to be negotiated but do not ask for their negotiating position. Do not underestimate your power in negotiation, the other person wants and needs something from you.
  2. You do not have to accept their offer.

To mark Trustees Week, November 2013, the Capacity building team at Macc invited trustees of Manchester charities to attend a free seminar, delivered by Moira Protani, Partner and Head of the Charities Department at Wilsons Solicitors LLP. The session was a great opportunity for existing trustees to revisit their responsibilities and check any gaps in their knowledge -it can be difficult to know what you don’t know!- and a great introduction for new trustees.
