Drug and Alcohol Services Consultation – Deadline 10 May

Following a reduction in Government funding for commissioning drug and alcohol services, Manchester City Council are proposing to assess the priority level of each service they commission with a view to achieving savings that have the least impact on treatment for drug and alcohol users in Manchester.

Launching the Girls in Gangs Website and Teaching Resource for Work with Young People

Union Street Media Arts CIC (USMA) have been working with Cedar Mount Academy (CMA) and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) to support pupils to raise awareness about the risks of gang involvement through media, film and performance. This is being done within their school, other schools and youth organisations, around Greater Manchester and beyond. The project was funded by the Home Office to carry out this piece of work under the Communities Against Guns, Gangs and Knives Fund.

The Adactus Neighbourhood Fund 2013/14

The Adactus Neighbourhood Fund for 2013/14 has been launched with a total of £200,000 in grant funding available across the Group.

Adactus Housing are now looking for residents, community groups and voluntary organisations to submit bids for projects that will benefit people living throughout communities.

Applications for the fund, now in its fourth year, are judged by a panel of residents. Last year the fund provided healthy living sessions, improved communal gardens, funded community clean up days and provided diversionary activities for young people.

Manchester Cultural Partnership Commission for a Consortium Coordinator

Salford Third Sector Commissioning Strategy
