WIth many people in Manchester finding it harder to cope with a wide range of pressures Manchester Mind are finding that more people are experiencing poor mental health. Manchester Mind are now facing increasing demands for their services whilst operating in a challenging funding environment and know that there are even more challenging times ahead.
Manchester Cultural Partnership, together with Manchester City Council are planning to bid for the Creative Employment Programme which is an Arts Council England initiative. The aim of the programme is to support apprenticeships, paid internships and traineeships across the arts and cultural sector.
The mayor of Salford, Ian Stewart, has advertised through The Chest an invitation for the trustees of third sector organisations to attend an event to discuss commissioning strategy. The dates of the events are 23rd and 25th April at 4.30pm. Attendance is restricted to two from any organisation and is by invitation only. Cost benefit analysis (CBA), joint planning and commissioning are central planks of the Community Budgets approach. CBA is being used to assess the overall impact of a set of interventions and the benefits that accrue to individual public authorities.

GMYN would like to invite young people aged 16 – 25 to join the Barclays Money Skills Programme. This is a peer education course where young people will learn money management and then volunteer by passing on their knowledge to other young people.
The course will be held at GMYN in Ardwick Green on the following dates:
15th, 17th, 22nd and 25th April, from 10am – 2pm each day
GMYN will provide lunch and travel expenses.
What is the Respactabull Project?
A powerful, free workshop for young people in London, Birmingham and Manchester
Designed to be run as a workshop with groups of young people, the project aims to stimulate debate and discussion around the issues of responsible dog ownership, antisocial behaviour and the law.
