The Growth Company (GC) will deliver the Working Well: Individual Placement and Support in Primary Care (WW IPSPC) initiative across Greater Manchester. The initiative aims to help people 
with physical or mental health disabilities into sustained employment – or provide them with support to stay in or return to their current job.
The new £5m GMCA Community Grants Programme will fund a number of projects across Greater Manchester. Local Voluntary and community sector (VCSE) organisations and Housing 
Associations can bid for funding up to £100k.
Autistic people offer employers both a new pool of talent, and a greater diversity of thought within a workforce and teams. That is the message of two new guides launched in Greater Manchester.
Local social enterprise, Unlimited Potential, has published Fulfilling Your Potential – a guide for autistic people – and Untapped Potential – a guide for local employers.
A recent HR survey that was done as part of the VCSE workforce programme showed that there was an appetite for a shared HR service across the VCSE sector.

community organisations across Greater Manchester and they are recruiting new delivery partners to work with them.
Every Thursday 10.30am-12.30pm in Lime Square the Salvation Army hold a free drop-in session where you can get support with your search for employment. There is access to computers, internet available, get help with CVs and support to get online.
The sessions take place at The Salvation Army, Lime Square, Openshaw, Manchester, M11 1DA.

The Growth Company welcomes Expression of Interests (EOI's) from organisations with experience of working with similar customer groups in Greater Manchester and/or experience of delivering proven specialist interventions.
The programme called Progression Towards Inclusive Employment will deliver a core programme of support for economically inactive Greater Manchester residents who are furthest away from the labour market and face complex barriers to work.
Good Employment Week is an annual week of activities that aims to raise awareness of good employment across the city-region. It is taking place between 19-24 June 2023.
For this inaugural year, the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter are engaging with employees – and asking the question ‘how good is your job?’ through a short, interactive quiz.

Wednesday morning on Bengal Street, just off Oldham Road in Ancoats. There was a queue forming, people carried notepads, pens, dog leashes and babies. The rain was falling in light sheets and construction sites roared somewhere in the distance.
