Manchester Safeguarding Partnership are pleased to welcome We Are Survivors to deliver this final session in their Week of Action.

Established in Greater Manchester in 2009, We Are Survivors is a survivor-focused charity that creates safe spaces and provides specialist support for male survivors, including trans and non-binary individuals, affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation. Their work combines direct support, advocacy, education and awareness-raising to help break the silence surrounding sexual harm and create lasting change.

REIGN is a Manchester-based, survivor-led organisation that works to transform how professionals and services understand and respond to child sexual abuse and exploitation through training, consultancy and lived-experience expertise. Their work is recognised for providing powerful insights that challenge perceptions, improve safeguarding practice, and drive meaningful change.

About the Cultural Well-being Programme (CWP)
Launched in 2023 through a partnership between African Caribbean Mental Health Services, Empower Consultants CIC, and Fikawelie Mental Health Unit CIC, the CWP offers bespoke and culturally tailored interventions for individuals from South Asian, Black African, Caribbean, and dual heritage backgrounds experiencing severe mental illness or crisis.

The session will encourage reflection on the challenges facing young people today and the importance of creating environments where healthy, positive expressions of masculinity can thrive.

Five years ago, Greater Manchester launched the GM Moving in Action 10-year strategy: Active Lives for All.

This September, GM Moving are marking five years of that strategy, and they would love for you to be there to celebrate the achievements, share learnings and priorities for the future, and commit to further action and influence.
