Manchester City Council have published a list of their funding for Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations totalling over £46 million.
The Financial Scrutiny Committee of Manchester City Council met on Thursday 9th Jan. The two main items under consideration were reports on "Commissioning of Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations" and an "Update of Progress in Developing the Commissioning Hub".

In order to facilitate the opportunity for organisations to act as partners for this tender, Salford Council is acting as a broker to exchange information between lead contractors and sub-contractors. Greater Manchester Police are currently reviewing and revising their equality objectives and producing an Equality, Diversity and Human Rights (EDHR) Strategy.
As part of this work, the Police and Crime Commissioner is assisting the Force in carrying out internal and external consultation on the proposed Strategy and Action Plan.
Initial work has been developed and internal consultation has taken place with key officers and Branch leads and they are now looking to consult with key voluntary sector networks.

One of the core functions of the Voluntary Sector Assembly for Manchester is to give space to Voluntary Sector Organisations to talk about the work they are doing and to discuss the issues that are important to them. In this way we build knowledge, build relationships and build solidarity between organisations.
@MCC_ComHub draws on and disseminates knowledge from Manchester City Council's Commissioning Team and the wider commissioning and provider market. The Team hope to increase transparency around the Council's Commissioning priorities and work streams and to function as a complementary means of dialogue to more traditional means of engagement.
