Are you leading a team that works with young people? This specialised training will help you embed the 6 trauma-informed principles into your organisation and workplace culture.

You'll learn:

  • Why trauma-informed principles are essential when supporting young people who have experienced trauma
  • How safety and trust form the foundation of trauma-informed practice
  • How to review and improve your supervision practices through a trauma-informed lens
  • How to create your own action plan for embedding these principles in your organisation

Who Are These Training's For?

These trainings are specifically for people from grassroots OR Manchester VCSFE organisations who work with young people aged 11-25 in Manchester. We (42nd Street) welcome and want to make the training more accessible for grassroot organisations first, though this training is for organisations who meet criteria of Manchester VCSFE. Our Leadership Trauma training is specifically for senior leads and managers with supervisory responsibilities.

What are grassroots organisations?

These are small groups of individuals who collaborate to improve their community - typically non-profit groups with both paid staff and volunteers, focused on enhancing the social, cultural, and economic wellbeing of community members.

To be eligible for this training, your organisation must meet at least the first two:

  • Work with young people aged 11-25
  • Be a VCSFE based in Manchester and support young people in Manchester
  • Operate as micro-entities, working primarily within a specific area (such as five streets or hyper localities)
  • Be established by members of the community
