Manchester City Council is consulting on a proposed strategy for parks, river valleys, trees, gardens and other green spaces. It will use the strategy to decide on more detailed action– by the Council, community groups, residents, businesses and others. It will also be used to support bids for funding.

Manchester City Council is consulting on a draft strategy for Manchester’s 'green and blue infrastructure' – which includes parks, river valleys, gardens, street trees, green roofs, canals and more.

The Nine Lives Fund is a partnership between Forever Manchester and the Chambers of 9 St. Johns Street, Manchester. The Fund is currently inviting applications from groups that provide activities for young people between the ages of 10 – 18 and living in deprived areas of Greater Manchester and with an income of under £150,000.

Priority will be given to projects working with children and young people with disabilities.

Awards of up to £2,000 are available.

The Community Economic Development (CED) programme is a new initiative designed for local community groups and organisations who want to take a lead in shaping their economies for the benefit of local communities.
