Elevate Young Minds is a youth-led organisation based in Manchester. They are launching four new programmes geared around helping local youth to grow and develop their skills and provide a space for social interaction, particularly in response to the lack of social activities available at the moment because of Covid.
The Widows Empowerment Trust provides support to widow/ers who are at the risk of suffering from loneliness and social isolation. The Widows Empowerment Trust hold Arts and Craft classes for those who have lost a life partner, or suffered from grief and bereavement on Wednesdays at 4.30pm. This is to ensure that people participating become a support group as they understand grief.
The Women's Empowerment to work Programme run by Women’s Voices CIC will support women to explore flexible options around employment. The free 12 week programme will help women in the community to boost skills, knowledge and confidence to help them take the next steps to change their life and find work that they can and want to do.
The course is every Monday 10am - 2.30pm, starting on 1 March 2021.
The following few months are going to see Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) entering a new development stage and they would like to extend the opportunity for members to become involved also. Project worker Gemma would like to run a series of workshops that will offer a unique opportunity to shape the way GMCDP continues it practices.
