Ecclesiastical want to put their giving directly into the hands of remarkable organisations (like yours perhaps) that are changing people’s lives for the better. 
Comic Relief are seeking proposals from those working on providing mental health support to children and young people at an early stage so that they are aware of their mental health and can build resilience as they grow and develop. 
The clock is ticking. Less than 12 years – that's how long scientists say we have left to fix the climate. Heatwaves, floods, forest fires in the Arctic – the effects of climate change are happening and the window of opportunity to act is closing. 
Yet we have hope. The solutions to climate chaos are out there and by working together we can make them a reality.
Ambition for Ageing’s new report written by partners at MICRA, Social Infrastructure: How shared spaces make communities work, argues that to reduce social isolation, we need a diversity of social infrastructure to ensure chance social encounters with a diversity of people.

The National Football Museum’s new courses use the theme of football to make learning fun and relevant. Join in, build confidence, gain employability skills and meet new people.
Courses are held at the National Football Museum, 3 days a week, for 4 weeks (lasting for 50 hours in total). Football is used in creative ways; to learn about customer care, money and time management, maths, reading and writing skills and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). The next course starts on Tuesday 7 May.
In the latest Greater Manchester Poverty Action newsletter there is an article following up the From Poverty to Prosperity conference held on 2 April and details about their recruitment for a new Greater Manchester Living Wage Campaign co-ordinator. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) is proposing to make changes to the way that the service is managed, how resources are allocated and how they collaborate with partners. The changes are being proposed as part of a major transformation programme “Programme for Change” and details of the proposals can be found in the Outline Business Case. 
The Great Get Together are asking you to pledge to get back together with someone or something in your community you’ve lost touch, argued with or are simply avoiding. And what better time than at The Great Get Together weekend on 21-23rd June. 
The Great Get Together also want to make as much noise on social media, in the news and where we live about the importance of kindness, respect and community.
